Grimes releases teaser for ‘Venus Fly’ featuring Janelle Monae

A teaser for the upcoming Grimes and Janelle Monae video has surfaced.

Due for release on Thursday (2nd February) as a TIDAL exclusive, the clip sees them both strikingly dressed, with a bit of fire thrown in too. The video was directed and edited by Grimes herself, with ‘Venus Fly’ having featured on 2015’s ‘Art Angels’.

“Sometimes it feels futile to be making art in this cruel and extreme political climate,” she says, “but some of the brightest moments of the last few months for me and for a lot of you, I suspect, have come from seeing @janellemonae’s amazing and positive vision of the future, especially when we are being introduced to so many possible dystopian futures.”
