There’s not many voices that you really HAVE to see live, but Hamilton Leithauser’s is certainly one of them – so him announcing a run of UK dates is like music to our ears. (Like literally…)
The unmistakable frontman will be taking his collaborative record with Rostam ‘I Had A Dream That You Were Mine’ around the world, stopping on these shores for a run of dates which kick off on March 7th at London’s Village Underground.
Whilst Rostam won’t be joining him on the tour, expect to hear some of the record’s true shining moments and who knows, you may get the odd Walkmen classic thrown in for good measure.
Describing Hamilton’s voice in this month’s magazine, Rostam said ‘I wanted him to sing in all the different ways that he’s capable of singing. He can do Frank Sinatra vibrato and crooning. Few people can sing like that’
You can read our full chat with the duo here. It’s a good’un!
While you wait for the shows, check out a new Pitchfork live video of the two performing the album’s closing track ‘1959’ and then go grab tickets. We’re practically waiting in line already.
