Handmade Festival announce Twin Atlantic, Honeyblood, Frightened Rabbit + more for 2017

Make your way to Leicester folks, we’re going to be having a right ol’ party.

Festivals – can’t come soon enough if you ask us? And one we’re really excited about is Handmade Festival, who’ve just announced a batch of huge names for 2017.

The multi-venue spectacular returns to Leicester between April 29th + 30th, jam-packed with massive sets from the likes of Scottish anthem titans Twin Atlantic and Frightened Rabbit, the equally as Scottish Dork faves Honeyblood, blistering dreamers JAWS, venue-slaying trio Muncie Girls and the riff-packed Pulled Apart By Horses.

With British Sea Power, Tigercub, Puppy and Idles also confirmed today – the two-day Leicester shindig is already shaping up to be one unmissable throw down if we ever did see one.

Speaking about the announcement, festival co-organiser John Helps says:

“It feels so good to finally get this announcement out into the world. Handmade has grown every year since we started it in 2013, but this feels like our biggest step to date as we move into the main room of O2 Academy Leicester, as well as the many other spaces around the Academy and Attenborough Arts Centre. We could not be more excited about the line-up, and this is just a flavour of what you can expect across the two days.”

And here at Dork, we’ll be jumping right on in with the party – teaming up for a weekend of faves, fun and frolics. I mean, you have to if you’re in Leicester right?

Tickets for the double-dayer start from £40 for adults and £20 for under-16s, while students can jump in on a special £30 ticket (that way you can spend the rest on super noodles… and most likely beer). Pick up yours here.

Keep checking back in with us, as we bring more names and news on all things Handmade.
