Hear The National, The War On Drugs, Courtney Barnett and more cover the Grateful Dead

The versions are taken from the ‘Day of the Dead’ tribute album, set for release this May.

A selection of tracks from The National’s Grateful Dead tribute album have been released.

‘Day of the Dead’ is a 59 track, six hour box set featuring contributions from over 60 artists. Released on May 20th via 4AD, it will benefit Red Hot, a non-for-profit HIV/AIDS organisation.

Streaming now you can find takes from The National, Courtney Barnett, The War On Drugs, Phosphorescent and Jenny Lewis and Friends, and Bruce Hornsby with DeYarmond Edison, a group featuring Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and the band Megafaun.
