If Brexit has one silver lining, it might be a new album from The Good, The Bad & The Queen

Though, if we had to pick…

Damon Albarn is currently working on a second album for The Good, The Bad & The Queen, according to an interview in Q.

Speaking as part of the magazine’s Gorillaz cover feature, Albarn revealed that “Brexit has obviously given us a wonderful starting point” for a new record from the supergroup – which also includes The Clash’s Paul Simonon, The Verve’s Simon Tong, and Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen.

That suggests something has changed since Albarn had suggested he’d finished writing a new album for the band in 2014. The Good, The Bad & The Queen last performed live in 2011, with their self-titled debut released in 2007.
