Incoming Pop Emergency! No Rome is dropping new music on Thursday, and The 1975 are involved!

Is there no limit to the hype those boys can generate?

For fuck’s sake, Barry*! Stop fucking about on YouTube! Pay attention! This is an incoming Pop Emergency!

We’ve spent weeks – probably months, if not years – winding up the hype machine for the next movements from The 1975. We’re nine days from the 1st June and what we assume will be the big reveal of whatever-it-is-they’re-up-to, and yet still they’re able to send us scattering like buzzed up pigeons.

You what?

Yep, the creative masterminds behind the throne, George and Matty, are at it again, teaming up with Dirty Hit label mate No Rome – aka Rome Gomez – for ‘something new’. While previously the duo have worked on production duties for their contractually related brothers and sisters, this time, it could be something even more exciting.

The first track from what appears to be a four track EP – ‘Do It Again’ – is set to drop this Thursday on Beats 1. But, if you look at the image in the tweet below, turn it on its side, and squint a bit, you’ll see some exciting words next to track three.

‘Feat. The 1975’.

Oh. Blimey.

BARRY! GET UP BARRY! BARRY?

* No, we’re not sure who Barry is either – Ed.
