Is this new music from The xx?
The band announced last month that they were hitting the road, and shared a playlist of songs they’d been listening to in the studio while recording their new album.
That playlist has just gained an extra track – a 55 second long effort that’s credited to nobody, nor has a title, that sounds ‘a bit xx-y’. Interestingly, its copyright is attributed to Young Turks Records, which does nothing to harm the suggestion it may be composed by the band.
You can check it out below. If you’re expecting a banger, you’re probably gonna be disappointed.
The xx’s last album, ‘Coexist’, was released in 2012.
