It looks like Foo Fighters are playing a small gig in Frome, near Glastonbury, tonight

Are they going to finally announce their headline slot?

Foo Fighters have been rumoured as headlining Glastonbury for months now, and today may be the day they’re confirmed – with an intimate gig in Frome, Somerset.

Last weekend, fans received mysterious ‘boarding passes’ in the post referencing the fictional ‘Obelisk Airlines’, and featuring the band’s logo inside a pyramid. There was a ‘check-in time’ of 6pm Tuesday, 21st February, which came and went with nothing to report.

Then the band were spotted getting on a plane IRL, launched an Obelisk Airlines website with a countdown to this evening, and now fans have been invited to the Cheese and Grain venue in Frome, near Glastonbury, for a 6pm ‘check in’. The venue meanwhile has announced that it is closed today for “a strictly private event”. Oo-er.

Foo Fighters’ most recent album ‘Sonic Highways’ landed in 2015. Glastonbury takes place from Wednesday 21st – Sunday 25th June, 2017, with Radiohead already announced as a headliner.
