‘It’s Business Time’ as Flight of the Conchords announce UK tour

Bret and Jemaine touch down for first UK tour in seven years.

“Bret?”

“Present.”

“Jemaine?”

“Present.”

That’s right, Flight of the Conchords are spreading their wings and flying north for a UK tour early next year, their first in over seven years.

The self-described “almost award-winning fourth-most-popular folk duo in New Zealand” touch down in March 2018 for a series of huge shows, kicking off with two nights at London’s Apollo before a massive date at the capital’s O2 Arena on March 29th.

The shows are a major coup for band manager Murray, and could see the Conchords finally hit the heights of arch-rivals the Crazy Dogs.

Unlike in the hit HBO show, you’ll probably be competing with more than just super-fan Mel for tickets, so make sure you’re logged in and ready when tickets go on sale this Friday (27th October, 10am). Get in there early to avoid ‘Hurt Feelings’.

Flight of the Conchords, made up of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, are due to perform classics from their cult TV series of the same name, as well as hinting about new material. Could that mean a new series/film is on the horizon? Time will tell.

The duo have focused on other projects since the show’s second series finished in 2009, with Bret lending his songwriting chops to The Muppets films and Jemaine starring in Wellington vampire documentary ‘What We Do In the Shadows’. Flight of the Conchords have released two studio albums, with ‘I Told You I Was Freaky’ coming out in 2009.
