Jens Lekman is back with a new album, lead by storming new one ‘What’s The Perfume That You Wear’

The LP – ‘Life Will See You Now’ – is out on February 17th

Swedish melter Jens Lekman is making sure 2017 is a year like no other, returning with new album ‘Life Will See You Now’ on February 17th.

The LP is his first since 2012’s ‘I Know What Love Isn’t’ and is set to lift those cold winter blues and place them firmly out of sight with one fell swoop.

Speaking about the album on his Facebook, Lekman talked through his writing and thoughts now that it’s all done and ready to head out into the world.

“I wrote about being close to someone who’s seriously ill but not knowing exactly how close you are. About that first big fight in a relationship. About a wedding I once played where I had to do some last minute counseling. About choosing who you want to be with. About a perfume that’s been haunting me for years and the memory attached to this perfume. About a mormon missionary I once met. About figuring out why you’re here on earth. About the bridges you cross and how they burn behind you”

“That’s all I can say about this right now. I’m still in the process of trying to figure out what it is I’ve done. If you could help me with that I’d be very grateful. These songs are yours now, take good care of them.”

‘Life Will See You Now’ is lead by the tropical-grooving new cut ‘What’s The Perfume That You Wear’ – which will have your shoulders moving all over the place in no time. That’ll especially be the case when Lekman heads over to these shores on his freshly announced UK + Irish Tour – calling into Dublin, London, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow as a part of a wider worldwide run.
