Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn delivered a speech to the biggest crowd of Glastonbury 2017 so far on the Pyramid Stage this afternoon (24th June) before Run The Jewels.
The ten minute slot included praise for Michael Eavis, for creating a “space for all of us”, as well as criticism for Donald Trump, by point out a message on site that read “build bridges, not walls”.
“The elites got it wrong,” he stressed, talking about the recent general election campaign. “Politics is about the lives of all of us and the wonderful campaign that I was involved with brought a lot of people back into politics because they believed there was something on offer for them. But what was even more inspiring was the number of young people who got involved for the very first time because they were fed up of being denigrated.”
As well as speaking to the huge Pyramid Stage crowd, the address was also broadcast on the screens at the Other Stage. You can watch the full speech below.
