Jools Holland joins St. Vincent for impromptu Patsy Cline cover

‘Later…’ host gives a helping hand on surprise version of ‘Crazy’.

St. Vincent performed a surprise cover of Patsy Cline’s ‘Crazy’ on this week’s ‘Later…with Jools Holland’, with the host joining in on piano for a unique moment.

The singer- aka Annie Clark – was appearing on the show (in full leopard-suit) to promote her new album Masseduction, released last week to wide acclaim (and a ★★★★★ review from Dork).

As an interview with Holland turned to Clark’s musical upbringing, specifically the influence of ‘older country’ music, the host latched onto her love of Patsy Cline. Quelle surprise, when Jools suggested they play a song St. Vincent had something up her sleeve.

Skip to 12:20 on this week’s show to see the interview or 14:30 to hear ‘Crazy’.

Also appearing was Beck, who performed songs from his new album ‘Colors’, also released last week. Once you’ve spun Masseduction a few times give it a listen here.
