Jorja Smith has won 2018’s BRITs Critics’ Choice prize

She beat Mabel and Stefflon Don to the prize.

They only announced the three person shortlist last week, but Jorja Smith has already been announced as the winner of this year’s BRITs Critics’ Choice prize.

The annual awards is chosen by a panel of ‘industry’ ‘experts’ (ahem – Ed), with an initial list of three acts reduced to a single, overall winner. This year’s batch also included Mabel and Stefflon Don.

Jorja Smith is, obviously, already pretty well established in our little world, including collaborating with Drake. She joins a list of previous winners that includes Adele, Sam Smith and Florence + The Machine.

The rest of the BRITs winners will be announced at their big London blow out ceremony next February.
