Heading straight towards centre stage, Just Banco has dropped an absolute bobby dazzlah of a number in the form of ‘Ashleigh’, with a video co-directed alongside none other than The 1975’s Mr Matty Healy.
Shot in a derelict bullring in Manchester, it’s an immediate glance into the vision he’s looking to create. Intoxicating chimes, hard instrumentals and immediate hooks make it the sort of UK rap statement that was needed to be made in 2018 – evolving and growing with a newfound confidence.
It’s the first release for Just Banco since signing for Dirty Hit, so expect more undeniable statements from a newcomer bound to make a stir. We’re calling it now.
