Kasabian are getting ready for a pretty huge 2017 and things are ratcheting up with teases of a new video, new music and return to the live stage that’s going to burst all over anything you may have planned in the coming months.
In what looks like P.E gone mad in a school gym, a behind the scenes clip from a new music video shoot confirms the appearances of Noel Fielding and This Is England’s Stephen Graham in the vid – expected to mark the anticipated lead single from the band’s upcoming sixth studio album.
Main jist from it though is that nobody really knows what’s going on and why they’re there. With the added revelation that ‘ol Serge is having a wander around in the nude whilst playing the bagpipes, it’s a sign that Kasabian are about to drop something seismic.
That seismic cut could be ‘Put Your Life On It’, a track debuted at the band’s celebratory King Power Stadium shows in Leicester last summer – but now teased once again on the band’s Facebook page.
In an action-packed day for Kasabian, the band returned to the live stage for their first date of 2017 last night (March 8th) – playing the Sydney Opera House with a mammoth set which included new tracks such as the aforementioned ‘Put Your Life On It’ and fresh one ‘Come Back Kid’ – along with a version of ‘EEZ-EH’ which morphed into Daft Punk’s ‘Around The World’. As you do.
Expect it all to sound massive when the band headline Reading & Leeds and TRNSMT this summer, like really massive.
Check it out below if you don’t believe us, Kasabian aren’t messing around.
