Ever the purveyors of culture, Mumford & Sons are planning a week of events celebrating South Africa before their Hyde Park gig on July 8th.
Taking place at the Lights of Soho gallery in… erm… London’s Soho (no shit – Ed) it’s set to include numerous DJ sets, film screenings as well as, most importantly, South African wine tasting. So if you want the chance to potentially (probably not though) get on the booze with Mumford and Sons then get on down.
A part of the bands seemingly never-ending ‘Gentlemen of The Road’ festival, ‘Johannesburg – A South African Experience’ runs now through to 8th July.
A complete list of events can be found below:
July 1: ‘Saffa Sounds’ – DJ sets by Petite Noir and Okzharp
July 2: ‘Afrobeat Dance Party’ – DJ sets by Cosmo and Pablo with live drumming plus Petite Noir
July 5: South African wine tasting from Jordan Wine Estate plus a discussion on South African art by London gallery Circa Space
July 6: The Very Best and Beatenberg gig
July 7: Jeremy Loops acoustic gig
July 8: ‘Biltong And Beers’ with biltong from Limpopo Butchers soundtracked by Gentlemen Of The Road
