‘Leave A Light On’, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs is on the way back! Back!! Back!!!

There’s a brand new single and a promise to at least fail gloriously. That’s our sort of message.

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs remains totally enormous (but not extinct or a dinosaur), dropping a brand new(ish) track, ‘Leave A Light On’.

The new cut was first previewed when Orlando Higginbottom (for it is he, etc) uploaded it to his SoundCloud for a few hours on his birthday back in March. Presuming you weren’t sat with your own Colin the Caterpillar waiting to celebrate, our first chance to check it out proper came when it was debuted as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1 earlier this week.

Written and performed soley by Higgingbotton – apart from the drums, which clearly don’t count – you can stream ‘Leave A Light On’ now, below.

“All my time has been spent making music and thinking about making music,” says Higginbottom, explaining what he’s been up to for the last couple of years. “But I couldn’t see a way for it to be fun. Both personally, and with regards to the state of the industry itself.

“It took me a while to find a space to work in. I moved from Oxford to London, but London was fruitless. I then moved to LA but it took about six months before I found a permanent spot and things then started to fall into place.

“With Leave A Light on, I had to start releasing music or I would have broken. Now I feel like there are no rules, and I’m strong enough to do things my way and fail gloriously.”
