Leeds-based musician and producer SaNTINO has dropped the first track from his new EP.
‘Girl’ is a stomping pop classic in the making, with the funkiest beats you’ll hear all week. It’s taken from ‘Big Swirl’, out 29th September on fancy candy swirl vinyl.
“Funnily enough I recorded the whole thing with a really cheap sEX1 mic,” he says. “Just listening to a load of Chic and watching EVERY Nile Rodgers interview that exists, the chords, melody and lyrics literally just came to me from nowhere pretty much fully formed.
“I knew it was a good idea so I didn’t start producing it until months later cos I wanted to improve my production skills first. And then I sat down one day and put it all together piece by piece, drums, played the bass, guitar, piano, finally sung on top and boom there it was!”
