Liam Gallagher is worried the cops are taking over while you’re busy doing yoga on new track ‘Chinatown’

It’s a valid concern, rkid.

Liam Gallagher has dropped a second track from his forthcoming album ‘As You Were’.

Titled ‘Chinatown’, it’s a very different take on the former Oasis’ frontman’s debut full-length to lead single ‘Wall of Glass’. A more relaxed, hazy cut, it also features the sort-of-Brexity sounding line: “Wanted to be free man. What’s a European? Me, I just believe in the sun.”

‘As You Were’ is set to be released on October 6th. Four tracks on the record will be produced by Adele, Sia and Beck collaborator Greg Kurstin, who has also just worked on Foo Fighters’ new album ‘Concrete and Glass’. He’s responsible for recent single ‘Wall Of Glass’, plus ‘Paper Crown’, ‘Come Back To Me’ and ‘It Doesn’t Have To Be That Way’.

The rest of the record is produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat, who has Radiohead, Circa Waves and Mumford and Sons on his credit list.

“I didn’t want to be reinventing anything or going off on a space jazz odyssey,” says Liam. “It’s the Lennon ‘Cold Turkey’ vibe, The Stones, the classics. But done my way, now.”

Other tracks mentioned on the record include the “Bo Diddley-like” ‘Greedy Soul’ and “mega-ballad” ‘For What It’s Worth’, co-written with Simon Aldren of Cherry Ghost.
