A few weeks ago, Liam Gallagher announced he’s signed a new record deal with Warner Music Group that will see him releasing a solo album in 2017.
“Very excited to be signing to the mighty Warner Brothers,” Liam said at the time. “Looking forward to making some super sweet sounds. Keep the faith!”
Now he’s revealed a little more about the project.
Speaking to the Sunday Times, he says: “It’s a bit of everything. A few [songs] are a bit ‘Working Class Hero’, which suits my Rolls-Royce. And garage-rock psychedelia, in your face.
“There’s a song I like called ‘Over’ — acoustic, faraway voices. Cool. I think it will put a few people in their place.”
Liam’s also had a chat with the Telegraph, saying:
“I guess it’s the last chance to dance, know what I mean? There’ll be some rock’n’roll bangers on there, but also some softer, John Lennon-y things. That’s who I am. You know, I can’t cook. I f—ing refuse to cook. All I can do is, do what I do.”
Oasis’ new documentary ‘Supersonic’ landed in cinemas yesterday (Sunday 2nd October). Since the group disbanded, Liam’s released two albums with his band Beady Eye: 2011’s ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ and 2013’s ‘BE’.
