It’s chilly out. We know it, you know it. So Sundara Karma are bringing the heat with this fresh new video for ‘Flame’.
Finding frontman Oscar Pollock throwing some serious shapes in an abandoned warehouse, the video hits and hits until – quite literally – a man bursts alight. Now that’s certainly a way to beat out the winter weather.
Speaking about the track (inspired by ancient philosopher Plato and his ‘Allegory Of The Cave’) and the video, Oscar said:
“Michael (the director of the video) and I fell in love. We wanted to make something to resemble our relationship, something that would be eternal. At times it felt like the whole world was against us.”
“Ever since I heard that story I thought it was crazy, especially how old and relevant it still is. We’re told that happiness will come from buying more shit or that you’re inadequate, from adverts, that you need to buy the new best thing in order to feel better. It’s really fucked up and there’s definitely some shady shit behind power”
‘Flame’ is yet another banger taken from Sundara Karma’s incoming debut album ‘Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect’, set to drop on January 6th to kick-start 2017 in a far better fashion than how the world has ended 2016. Following the release, the band will head out on an extensive run of dates across the country, supporting Two Door Cinema Club on their huge dates before a headline run of shows culminating in a big night at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on February 24th.
