Local Natives engage in a spot of ‘Villainy’ on new track

Zane Lowe describes it as “the first piece of music” from the band’s as yet untitled third album.

Local Natives have shared a new song ‘Villainy’, taken from the band’s currently untitled third album.

Though the band shared another new song, ‘Past Lives’, earlier this year, Zane Lowe described the song as “the first piece of music” from the forthcoming record when premiering it on Beats 1.

In an interview, the band’s Taylor Rice and Ryan Hahn claim they wrote over 50 songs for the full-length, where in the past they’d generally ended up with 16 or 18 to pick from.
