The Long Blondes’ Kate Jackson is going to be aiming for giddy stratospheres* this spring with a solo tour in support of her new album, ‘British Road Movies’.
The run will kick off on 17th May in Cambridge before heading to venues separated by motorways* in Brighton, London, Glasgow and Sheffield.
She’ll play London twice, with both a gig at Courtyard Theatre and an earlier instore, and the remaining towns once and never again*.
The Rough Trade set will be a fairly early one, at 7pm – so you shouldn’t need someone to drive you home*.
Due for release on 20th May through Hoo Ha Records, she recorded her debut full-length with Bernard Butler.
“We initially bonded over a shared love of Bowie, The Fall, Neil Young and Brian Eno,” Kate explains, “and quickly found that songwriting flowed freely between us.”
The dates are:

17 The Portland Arms, Cambridge
19 The Great Escape, Brighton
20 Rough Trade East, London – 7pm
JUNE
03 Courtyard Theatre, London
04 The Hug and Pint, Glasgow
