Wolf Alice have had a whirlwind few years, really not stopping for the past 4 years or so – so you’d forgive them for taking a bit of rest-bite to work on a new album right?
Well, think again – because if they have their way, 2017 is going to see some live shows and fun times, which we really like.
Speaking to NME, drummer Joel Amey talked about potential live plans for the next 12 months, saying when asked about live dates:
“I hope so, definitely. It would be a shame not to be because there’s a few ideas for next year so if everything goes to plan I think we’d love to be back on the road. we’ve had such an amazing time this year the last couple of years, it’s really blown us away as to where it’s got us – so hopefully we can just keep going and the rug won’t be pulled from under our feet just yet.”
Good ol’Joel also chatted about potentially headlining some festivals in the next few years, particularly paying attention to Latitude…
“Yeah, I personally would love to headline a festival like Latitude. We had a really good time there last year and I’ve always thought they’re a really good festival for bands to make that transitionary step. I’ve seen it happen before and it’s a great festival.”
Wolf Alice rounded out a huge 18 months around the release of their debut album ‘My Love Is Cool’ by headlining By The Sea Festival at the end of September and featuring in the tour documentary/film ‘On The Road’.
So here’s hoping they’re ‘On The Road’ soon…. see what we did there….
