Last night was the first ever all-female-led edition of Later… with Jools Holland, apparently. Guess they got there eventually, eh? Better late than never.
What that did mean is we got some top drawer performances. Lorde will steal the headlines with her moves during a rendition of her recent uber-smash ‘Green Light’, but that shouldn’t detract from the brilliance of Pumarosa. Performing ‘Dragonfly’ from their absolutely spiffing debut album ‘The Witch’, they were nothing short of entrancing. Add to that a typically expressive performance from Aldous Harding, and you’ve got a show.
