Last week a sneaky tidbit on the website of Lorde’s record label, Republic Records, suggested she may have a single on the way – and a new SNL booking is now adding fuel to the flames.
She’s confirmed to perform on Saturday Night Live on 11th March, just days after her single – listed as “Lorde (Confidential Title) 3/7” on the site – is expected to land. Suspicious, eh?
Lorde has been working on the follow up to 2013 debut album ‘Pure Heroine’ for quite a while now. It’s previously been suggested that her new material is “v pop, v dance and v uniquely Lorde”.
She’s confirmed for a bunch of festivals this summer, including Coachella, Bonnaroo and Governors Ball – nowt in the UK yet, though.
