Matty Healy has dropped more details about that debut album from pre-fame The 1975 incarnation Drive Like I Do

It’s the last we’re getting until it’s out, though.

Matty Healy has dropped some more details about that Drive Like I Do album he was chatting about a few days back.

Drive Like I Do, for those not in the loop, was one of The 1975’s pre-fame guises. For a while now there’s been a suggestion that, once third album ‘Music For Cars’ is done, they may return to record something different under that name.

That was confirmed when Matty made a series of tweets suggesting they’d drop a record “during spring time in the coming few years”.

Now he’s added a bit more info – and claimed it’s the last we’re getting until it’s out.

Drive Like I Do “will release a debut of new songs with additional band members,” he writes. And in case you’re wondering, Austin from Swim Deep has already asked if he cam play tambourine.

The 1975 headlined Manchester’s Parklife festival last night, and are set to top the bill at Latitude next month. Their next album is expected to drop in 2018.
