METZ team up with Swami John Reis for new Record Store Day 7″

Check out ‘Caught Up‘ now.

METZ have announced details of their second release for Record Store Day. Yes, second. Some people like to keep busy.

Alongside their collab with Missions of Burma, they’re also teaming up with Swami John Reis (Rocket From the Crypt, Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes) for another two brand new songs. Check out ‘Caught Up‘ below.

The track, alongside ‘Let It Rust‘ is also being released on RSD via Swami Records.

They may not be dropping them via their usual home of Sub Pop, but the label is taking it in good spirits. ”While we the hard-working music industry professionals of Sub Pop Records typically wallow in lovably smug self-congratulation,” they explain, “at the moment we find ourselves just dizzy with professional envy at the news that METZ and Swami John Reis have collaborated on two deeply awesome new songs which we have no current plans to release. The ‘Let It Rust’ b/w ‘Caught Up’ 7” single will come out on Record Store Day, Saturday, April 16th, 2016 through Swami Records (and though we have nothing but affection and esteem for the Swami label and the folks who operate it, still: DIZZY!).”
