New Carnival – Max, Bertie, Olly and Billy – are back with a new single, ‘Solid Gold’.
Following on from ‘Where Do You Wanna Go’ and ‘Run For Cover’, ‘Solid Gold’ is a swaggering slice of, y’know, what it says on the tin. Packed with attitude, it’s a perfect late summer banger.
“Lyrically I was exploring the feelings you have in the embryonic stages of a relationship,” says Max, “feeling close to someone but also distant at the same time, and that urge to push things forward.”
New Carnival have also announced a show at London’s Omeara on 21st September.
