Nick J.D. Hodgson shares his new video for ‘Tomorrow I Love You’

Nick’s hitting the road this weekend.

Nick J.D. Hodgson is soon to hit the road in support of his debut solo album, with a batch of live shows that kick off this weekend.

He’ll start in Dublin on 14th April, before heading on to Birmingham, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, and – of course – Leeds, where he’ll play a hometown show at The Wardrobe.

To celebrate the run, he’s shared a new video for ‘Tomorrow I Love You’ – a nostalgic romp with friends, full of teenage larks and longing. It’s the latest cut from full-length ‘Tell Your Friends’ and the title-track of his recent EP.

Directors Fidel Ruiz-Healy and Tyler Walker say of the clip: “With ‘Tomorrow I Love You’ we wanted to capture the song’s sense of longing. We set out to visualise those memories of moving on from best friends, entering new eras of life, and the “what if”s that haunt us. In a playful, dreamy way we wanted nostalgia to become a kind of a nightmare that resolves by living, leaving your bubble and taking chances that you were too timid to make yesterday.”

Nick adds: “I had a few different treatments and then this one came along and I loved the idea. It was shot in a little town in Pennsylvania, USA by these great directors who really captured the hazy coming of age love story that suits the song so well.”

You can also catch Nick at Live At Leeds this spring, where he’ll play Dork’s stage at The Church alongside The Horrors, Stereo Honey, Krrum, Tom Walker, Ten Tonnes and Bad Sounds. Exciting stuff, huh?
