Merry Christmas. There’s tinsel, Christmas trees, mulled wine and, of course, Nine Inch Nails – with new track ‘Burning Bright (Field On Fire) dropping like a ton of bricks on the festive period.
Draped in menacing industrial pillars of sound, it’s packed with the gritty and venous sound that still make Nine Inch Nails such an essential part of modern music, after almost 28 years of intense and game-changing sounds.
‘Burning Bright (Field On Fire)’ is taken from Trent Reznor & Co’s (which now includes longtime collaborator Atticus Rose) brand new EP ‘Not The Actual Events’ – announced last week and officially set to land tomorrow (December 23rd). Though, you can actually get it right now from the band’s official website so…. why wait eh?
Talking about the EP, Reznor said that “It’s an unfriendly, fairly impenetrable record that we needed to make. It’s an EP because that ended up being the proper length to tell that story”.
