Noel Gallagher had someone play a pair of scissors on ‘Later…’

We’re kind of into it, to be honest.

What’s the weirdest item of stationery you could use as a percussive instrument? Is it a pair of scissors? (Spoiler alert: it is). You can use pens as drumsticks, and if you get a couple of staplers you could sort of have some castanets going. But scissors? That’s straight up bizarre.

Dear Reader, Noel Gallagher has gone peak weird. On this week’s special Halloween episode of ‘Later…with Jools Holland’, The Chief was joined by someone playing a pair of scissors for his performance of new track ‘She Taught Me How To Fly’. ‘Playing’ here means ‘opening and closing a pair of scissors in front of a microphone’. We guess that’s a thing now? See for yourself below.
