Raucous and rebellious rock has never been more needed in the world than right now, and none may come as in-you-face as South London’s Nova Twins – unveiling their debut EP first on Dork.
With enough garage kicks to demolish any venue they step foot in, Nova Twins have been busy making 2016 their own – with a staggering debut appearance at The Great Escape this year leaving a sea of sweaty bodies and devoted fans in their wake. Immediately calling to mind the sort of potent and sharply-tongued venom of Rage Against The Machine drenched in scratchy luminous glam, they’re a duo that can’t be ignored.
Brash, uncompromising and stacked full of punky hip-hop vibes, their self-titled debut EP captures the minds and passions of Amy Love and Georgia South perfectly, as they sit on the cusp of shaking things up well and proper. From the sludgy-scuzz of ‘Wave’ to the tectonic breakdowns of lead single ‘Hitlist’, it’s a twisted cocktail that scrapes at the very fabric of rock’n’roll in 2016.
Ahead of its release tomorrow (19th August – pre-order here), check out their opening call to arms below, their upcoming live dates which include a slot at the very first Afropunk London on 24th September, and get to grips with the new world of the Nova Twins. Things are about to get interesting.
