When Fickle Friends get round to releasing their debut album, they’re going to have too many bangers.
No, it’s not a problem many bands have, but then most bands don’t go on a run of solid gold like the one they’re currently on.
Last year they dropped ‘Swim’, ‘Cry Baby’ and ‘Brooklyn’ – each one a bonafide bop. Earlier in 2017 they added to that with the 14/10 ‘Hello Hello’ too. But that’s not enough. Not for them.
Next up comes ‘Glue’, a heat hazy, fresh as all fuck gem that made its debut on Huw Stephens’ BBC Radio 1 show last night and is streaming online now.
Banger. Again.
According to Apple Music, ‘Glue’ is the lead track from a new EP which also contains ‘Sugar’ and ‘Vanilla’, and is set to drop on August 11th.
Fickle Friends are off on tour later this year. Along with appearances at Community, Secret Garden Party, Kendall Calling, Y Not, Standon Calling, LeeFest and Reading & Leeds (yep, they’re doing ‘the festivals’), you can catch them at…
