Our Girl have covered Ty Segall’s ‘Sad Fuzz’

The Flying Vinyl compilation number was mixed by none other than The Japanese House

Not just content with slaying things around in The Big Moon, Soph Nathan’s other project Our Girl have well and truly carved out their own path – with the trio now delivering a swaggering cover of Ty Segall’s ‘Sad Fuzz’

The track, which forms a part of this month’s Flying Vinyl delivering of exclusive subscription vinyl, was produced by Blood Red Shoes’ Steven Ansell – with mixing pulled together by none other than Amber Bain (aka former Dork cover star The Japanese House).

Talking about the track, Soph said: “There’s a lovely sun soaked nostalgia to the lyrics, which reminds me of being completely relaxed, lazing woozy on the grass or in bed all day. It somehow manages to have real energy and feel very hazy at the same time – it was so nice to sing, and it felt really freeing to play it together. We didn’t change much, the melody and feel is so good we just had fun with it.”

Our Girl released mesmeric debut EP ‘Normally’ towards the end of last year, and already have storming plans over the coming months – with a headline show lined up at The Waiting Room in London on March 22nd, before an appearance in May at The Great Escape.
