Poliça revel in synth-filled darkness with new track ‘Lipstick Stains’

The track sits as the flip-side to the recently unveiled ‘Still Counts’, with both released as a special 7” on Record Store Day

Double down your week, Poliça have unveiled an all-encompassing new number in the form of ‘Lipstick Stains’.

Sitting as the second half of the band’s Record Store Day release (alongside the previously unveiled ‘Still Counts’), ‘Lipstick Stains’ finds the band teaming up with German electro-producer Boys Noize for a track that’s both captivating and chilling all at the same time.

The track comes complete with a fresh video, with the band’s lead singer Channy Leaneagh explaining how it all came together. “The video was shot in a small studio in northeast Minneapolis by director Adam Dunn using only his iPhone. I’ve always wanted to create a dance piece with my friend Nkechi Njaka, a choreographer and neuroscientist who has mentored me over the years in how to use meditation and movement as a live performer, and someone I really respect and am inspired by constantly. This was an opportunity to create movement with her in real time to a song that I care very much about.”
