Queen Moo announce second album, share new track ‘Gone’

The Topshelf Records band have an album due next month.

New Topshelf Records signees, Queen Moo have announced their much-anticipated second album.

The band – which features two of the original members of Sorority Noise – are previewing the release with new track ‘Gone’, which you can check out below, first on Dork.

It’s a gentle, melodic number that builds to be the kind of raucous, slightly unhinged track it’s great fun to lose your sandwiches to at shows.

“’Gone’ was one of the last tunes we worked on for this record,” Jason explains. “We wanted to share this one first because we feel it most accurately displays all the changes Queen Moo has gone through within the two year writing and recording process. We feel it’s the most proper summation of what we strive to do as a band.

“The song came to fruition after a realization that much of the emotional weight I carry is self-imposed and by allowing that baggage to shape my priorities I had detached myself from what makes me happy. Now, I try to not let the burdens eclipse the larger picture goals.”

‘Mean Well’ is out on 25th August; pre-order your copy here: topshelfrecords.co.uk.
