Radiohead have been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
This is the first year that the band have been eligible for the nod, since an artist’s first record has to be 25 years old before they can be inducted. It’s not a bad showing to be nominated right off the bat, is it lads? Radiohead aren’t particularly bothered though, it seems. In a May interview with Rolling Stone, only bass player Colin Greenwood was excited at the prospect of making it in to the Hall of Fame. “I’d be grateful if we got in. Look at the other people that have been inducted,” he said. His brother Jonny was less fussed, though. “I don’t care. Maybe it’s a cultural thing that I really don’t understand,” he said.
The longlist also includes Rage Against the Machine in their first year of eligibility, but inductees aren’t announced until December. See the full list below.
