Are Radiohead going to headline Glastonbury next year?

Guitarist Ed O’Brien hasn’t ruled it out.

Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien popped into Matt Everitt’s show on BBC 6Music yesterday, and hinted that playing Glastonbury next year may be on the table.

When asked if they’ll be celebrating the twentieth anniversary of their 1997 set there, which coincided with the release of ‘OK Computer’, he said: “I would love to, I mean I go to Glastonbury every year, it’s my carnival, to be asked to play at Glastonbury again would be magic.”

O’Brien continued: “Glastonbury for us is kind of like our spiritual home. It is the mother of all festivals, we’ve been very lucky we’ve been asked to play festivals all over the world, and there’s some many great ones, but there’s nothing like that one.”

The band last played Glastonbury in 2011, as surprise special guests.
