Deep Breath, Radiohead fans.
Right, so Radiohead recently re-released their seminal album ‘Ok Computer‘ with a bunch of extras, including unreleased songs, demos, notes and some sketches. The re-release was called ‘OKNOTOK‘ because why not.
If you went big and got the super-fancy boxset you also received, “A C90 cassette mix tape compiled by the band, taken from OK Computer session archives and demo tapes.”
(With us so far? Good.)
At the end of the 79 minute tape, there’s a track called ‘Ok Computer programme’ that’s actually a computer programme that works with a personal home computer from the early nineties. Reddit user maciejkorsan ran it through their friends ZX Spectrum computer and this happened.
Basically, it credits the band and then leaves with the message “with all our love.”
But it doesn’t end there. “Also, inside the code there’s a hidden, black text on a black background: “congratulations….you’ve found the secret message syd lives hmmmm. We should get out more”
