Skepta and Radiohead are going head to head in the charts this week, and it’s already looking like it could be a blinder.
‘Konnichiwa’ is leading the way at the moment for Skepta, sitting pretty at Number One, 2,000 copies ahead of Beyonce. However, despite only releasing their album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ at 7pm yesterday (May 8th), Radiohead are already in at three, with 15,000 copies sold in a matter of hours.
The physical release for the record doesn’t come until June 17th, and it isn’t available on Spotify, but it looks like it has a good shot at taking the top spot by Friday if it continues on the same path.
In the UK singles chart, Drake is trailing to Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s new track ‘This Is What You Came For’. There’s only 1,000 sales between it and last week’s number one, ‘One Dance’, though. Justin Timberlake’s ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ sits at Number Three. [sc name=”stopper” ]
