Rae Morris’s new video features three generations of her family, and their dogs too

It’s for the title-track from her new album, ‘Someone Out There’.

Rae Morris’s new video for ‘Someone Out There’ is a family affair.

The title-track from her recent album, the clip was shot in her hometown, Blackpool, and features three generations of her family, and their dogs too.

Rae explains: “It was amazing finally getting to make a video in Blackpool. Noel and Gabe came over from New York (where I’d been for ‘Do It’) and I loved showing them around my hometown and helping them document the place that I spent most of my life so far.

“We wanted to photograph a big variety of people and it worked so well having family and friends come down to have their portraits taken. My mum and dad are in the Star Trek cos-play suits and that is their camper van.

“My dad was a firefighter for 30 years and I’m pretty sure if I wasn’t doing music as a career I would have followed in his footsteps. We filmed at his station with firefighters that have known me since I was a child. They let us use their Aerial Ladder Platform for the final shots over the lake in Stanley Park and posed in the freezing cold for some time.

“This video is full of special moments for me. Playing on the Blackpool Tower Ballroom Wurlitzer after dreaming of it since I was a kid and dancing around the room with my nana are things I’ll never forget.

“Someone Out There is a reminder that no matter who you are or where you are, there is always someone who loves and cares for you.”
