Red Hot Chili Peppers to reveal their ‘Dark Necessities’ this Thursday

It’s a new song. You’ve been warned.

They’re coming. Determined to split opinions (or at least cause you to have a fight with your little brother who insists wallet chains are still a thing – Ed), Red Hot Chili Peppers appear to be returning later this week with a new song.

Posting on Twitter earlier today (May 2nd), the band have revealed a new song – ‘Dark Necessities’ – will be released this Thursday, May 5th.

As well as headlining Reading and Leeds over the August Bank Holiday weekend, RHCP have been working with Danger Mouse on a new record, with Radiohead’s long term collaborator Nigel Godrich taking mixing duties.

It remains to be seen if the new song will be available for purchase, or if they’ll simply give it away (give it away, give it away now).

Really awfully sorry.
