Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have announced details of their debut album.
Big Indie Summer looks set to continue, as the Melbourne upstarts drop their first full-length ‘Hope Downs’ on 15th June via Sub Pop. The news comes alongside a new single, ‘Talking Straight’.
“The concept came about when I heard someone talking about the possibility of us, humans, being alone in the universe, and how sad that would be,” explains songwriter and vocalist Joe White. “The idea in this song is that we might be lonely, but we could be lonely together.”
It’s the second track to come from the band this year, following up on previous cut ‘Mainland’. RBCF are set to hit the UK for a run of shows this May, including an appearance at The Great Escape and a show at London’s Electric Ballroom.
