Rostam has loads of new music, dropping a solo number and a new Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam one too

The ex-Vampire Weekend man went in-depth on US radio.

Rostam Batmanglij is a man well and truly in a creative tornado, dropping by a US radio station to unveil not only a fresh new cut from his upcoming collaborative record with The Walkmen’s Hamilton Leithauser, but a solo one too!

Appearing on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic (what a name), Rostam revealed ‘Sick As A Dog’ from his Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam project, taken from the upcoming collaborative LP ‘I Had A Dream That You Were Mine’. This was preceded by an unexpected solo cut called ‘Gwan’, a lush orchestral serenade that leaves us wondering what else he could be working on.

Rostam also went in depth about his current relationship with Vampire Weekend, saying:

“There are no clear lines drawn about what the future holds. For me, it meant being open to doing stuff with Vampire Weekend, open to doing stuff on my own, to doing stuff with other people. There’s something really lovely about that openness.”

The full show can be checked out below, with ‘Gwan’ appearing around the 12:00 mark and ‘Sick As A Dog’ at 31:13
