Ryan Adams breaks hearts with this cover of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Streets Of Philadelphia’

And he did it all for BBC 6 Music’s 1994 Day – which is actually a thing

We’re still wrapped up in Ryan Adams’ gorgeous new album ‘Prisoner’, but Ryan ain’t waiting around – delivering a spine-tingling version of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Streets Of Philadelphia’.

Recorded and performed for BBC 6 Music as a part of their 1994 day, it’s a mesmerising cut that has us weeping all over the keyboard in unfiltered emotional bliss. And that’s what we cool a bloody brilliant weekday.

The version comes fresh from the release of Ryan Adams’ latest studio album ‘Prisoner’ – released earlier in the month. Ryan will be back on UK soil to headline Green Man in August, before a string of headline shows in September (including a little ‘ol night at London’s Royal Albert Hall – y’know, no biggy)

You can check out the stunning version below, along with those upcoming headline shows,
