We’ve been yapping on a bit about Shame this year, but 2017 looks set to be the moment they truly burst through the barricades – lead by this storming video for latest track ‘Gold Hole’.
Following frontman Charlie Steen on a pleasant trip to the band’s rehearsal at the pub, it finds him taking on the role of no-nonsense frontman with all the narcissitic joy you could imagine. Yes, that does include licking mirrors when looking at himself and teaching each individual band member how to play their instruments.
The track itself is a rattling call to arms which alongside fellow single ‘The Lick’ stand as Shame’s debut double A-side release. After marking the occasion with three shows across London in the very same night (I know, with that bloody traffic?) the band are gearing up for that mammoth 2017 – which already includes a slot at The Great Escape next May.
