The Shins are teasing something, we’re pretty sure of it….

Things get a bit odd in a clip they’ve just dropped on their ol’ Twitter

In the past few months we’ve seen a range of different things from The Shins, and now things have taken a particularly mysterious path with the reveal of a new teaser on the band’s socials.

As grainy as any dodgy TV channel you’ll ever see, the 42 second clip jumps from James Mercer strumming away, to him chilling on the sofa and typing away on an incredibly small computer. Basically, we have no idea what the fuck is going on.

But what we do get, is a little tease of new music with the title ‘I Gleek On Your Grave’ popping up at the end of the clip like the credits of a old school horror flick – which ties nicely into a tease they dropped not too long ago on Instagram under the same title.

So we know something’s happening anyway. That ties in nicely with an interview over the summer where frontman Mercer mentioned that the new Shins album would land in “early 2017” and of course the debut of a couple of new numbers at their recent live shows (which included a headline slot at End Of The Road and a stand-alone night at London’s Village Underground).

It’s coming, that’s the long and short of it. And as long as it’s The Shins, then we’re going to be pretty happy with the results.
