Slaves debut new single ‘Spit It Out’ – listen

It’s exactly the sort of raucous blast to the senses we’d expect from the duo.

Slaves have given a first play to their new single ’Spit It Out’.

The track – the sort of raucous blast to the senses dialled up to eleven we’d expect from the duo – was given a debut spin by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 in her Hottest Record slot. It comes ahead of the band’s last minute show at London’s 100 Club later tonight.

Speaking with Annie on t’wireless, the band confirmed they started work on the album pretty much immediately after their debut ‘Are You Satisfied?’, with the bulk of the work recorded in the states while touring with Wolf Alice. “We just did it in a week and a half, just bang bang bang,” the band confirmed. “We weren’t going to make any compromises at all. The first album – we really loved it, but it felt a bit too polite for us.”

They go on to describe the new full-length as “really heavy” and confirm the album will be out “this year, hopefully.”
