Things are happening in Planet Gorillaz. First, there was the many teases. Then, there was ‘Halleujah Money’. Then, there was the news Demon Dayz (a live show/festival coming to Dreamland in Margate). Now, thanks to some cheeky research work – we may have an indicator as to what’s coming next.
As discovered by the fine folk at FACT, a range of tracks and interludes have been loaded up to the PPL website (aka, the guys who look after royalties and copyright – so a pretty important job there) with tons of potentially juicy information.
Now, there’s no word that this is going to make up the WHOLE album, but it could very well point to tracks that feature the likes of Danny Brown, Jehnny Beth of Savages, Grace Jones, Pusha T, Vince Staples, De Las Soul, Ray BLK and even Rag ‘n’ Bone Man – all included within the registered numbers seen on the PPL site.
So at the moment, those tracks look like:
‘Andromeda’ feat. D.R.A.M.
‘Ascension’ feat. Vince Staples’
‘Busted And Blue’
‘Carnival’ feat. Anthony Hamilton
‘Charger’ feat. Grace Jones
‘Circle Of Friendz’ feat. Brandon Markell Holmes
‘Halfway To The Halfway House’ feat. Peven Everett
‘Hallelujah Money’ feat. Benjamin Clementine
‘Interlude: Elevator Going Up’
‘Interlude: New World’
‘Interlude: Penthouse’
‘Interlude: Talk Radio’
‘Interlude: The Elephant’
‘Interlude: The Non-conformist Oath’
‘Intro: I Switched My Robot Off’
‘Let Me Out’ feat. Mavis Staples & Pusha T
‘Momentz’ feat. De La Soul
‘Out Of Body’ feat. Kilo Kish, Zebra Katz & Imani Voshana
‘Saturnz Barz’ feat. Popcaan
‘Sex Murder Party’ feat. Jamie Principle & Zebra Katz
‘She’s My Collar’ feat. Kali Uchis
‘Strobelite’ feat. Peven Everett
‘Submission’ feat. Danny Brown & Kelela
‘The Apprentice’ feat. Rag’n’bone Man, Zebra Katz & Ray BLK
‘Ticker Tape’ feat. Carly Simon & Kali Uchis
‘We Got The Power’ feat. Jehnny Beth
Until we have any news, we can only speculate – but y’know, something’s up and before we know it we’re going to have all the information to play with. So in the meantime, lets jam out to ‘Hallelujah Money’ (released back in January) and gear up for Demon Dayz on June 10th.
The rest will fall nicely into place we’re sure.
